    2023 Update:

Since joining the football legends team, Gaston has shown great promise. He had a killer season at Sportivo Bella Italia being a key figure of the 2023 season. Gaston cleaned up the flow of the game, dictated the tempo and even managed to get on the score boards 4 times.

His participation was so strategical to the manager that Gaston was whisked by the manager in his new team and is now playing in the second division of Uruguay at Club Oriental de Fútbol de La Paz. This presents good projection for Gaston's career and getting him closer to where a player of his caliber belongs.

First few games of the 2024 season Gaston remains a Key player for the manager in his new team and has put in some very good performances scoring 2 goals already.

    Player Profile:

Born on April 21st, 1996 Gaston is a tough-tackling defensive midfielder with leadership skills and a humble demeanour. This Uruguayan professional footballer has played for clubs all over the world, including Uruguay, Italy, Ecuador, and Spain.

Gaston Faber had a very successful and promising start to his career. Participating in a very competitive and accoladed u17 and u20 Uruguay squads, it was expected for him to transition into the rotation of the senior squad as he continued his development. Unfortunately, after a few wrong career moves and lack of first team opportunities, the promise faded and Gaston never managed to stabilize himself as a consistent first team player in a competitive league.

Currently he will be playing at Sportivo Bella Italia, a team in Uruguay’s 3rd tier where the teams management have expressed him to be a key player for their new project. His agents feel that consistent first team football will allow him to get back to his optimal playing form and transition once again to more competitive leagues.

For our owners, this presents a shorter term opportunity to participate in the career of a formed player at a discount. Instead of having to wait for 3-5 years to see if a youth player makes it or not, Gaston is already a mature football player and their reps are hoping the player will double in value in 1-2 years. With a max market value at $650k achieved in 2015, his current estimated value is at $100k. Coming in at this valuation will be a bargain if he manages to establish himself in the team and get back to a place where a player of this calibre belongs. -

    Career Brief:

Gaston has an impressive record of achievements, having won a gold medal at the Panamerican Games of 2015 in Canada and placed 3rd in the South American Cup u20 of the same year. He also competed in the South American Cup u17 on 2013 in Argentina and the World Cup u17de 2013 in the United Arab Emirates. In additional to his international achievements he was champions with Uruguayan 1st tier club Danubio in 13/14 and Serie C Champion with Foggia in 16/17.

With regards to his playing style, Gaston’s strength are in maintaining and giving order to the team, with a simple playing style that is not flashy but gives volume to the playmaking. As a defensive CM he has strong defensive skils and high defensive aggression but also gives value to the offence with his shooting and change of direction of the play. Simple but effective.
